Here is an unusual long bell chime with flamboyant art deco styling.  The cover is reverse painted—which means it is molded from clear material and painted on the back side.  The decorative details are molded in bas relief on the back side.  This is by far the largest piece of reverse painting I have ever seen.  Mechanism is simple 2-note ding-dong style; third bell is strictly decorative.

NuTone Art Deco Hybrid

Interesting combination of traditional motifs and art deco styling.  Combines modern and traditional styles using the streamline front box and Chippendale style pediment on the backboard. Later models Jefferson and Century which made clear distinction between modern and traditional motifs.  As it turned out, the contemporary Century was marginally accepted, whereas the  pseudo-historical Jefferson went on to become the most popular longbell of all time.  Go figure.
